Building a Sacred Community
DECEMBER 2024 – Message from the Pastor
ST JOHN THE BAPTIST PARISH
Faith in Scripture
Dear Parishioner,
As we draw close to Christmas Day, we keep preparing our hearts to welcome the Lord. As it is customary, many of us will similarly prepare our homes to welcome loved ones over the holidays. Our special holiday touches and traditions provide a warm welcome to the family and friends who will grace our homes throughout this season.
Please accept my warm and heartfelt invitation to join me and fellow Parishioners for Mass this Christmas 2024 and in the New Year of 2025.
I would like to use this occasion to thank the many parishioners who have supported our parish throughout the past year. I am very grateful for your presence, here in the church, and for your time, talents and financial contributions. I also thank you for the love, care and practical support you have shown me as your pastor and especially the prayerful support you offer each and every day.
Again, I truly hope that you will be with us this Christmas/New Year - that together we may celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and share in the joy that Christmas gives to each generation.
I also use this opportunity to invite you to the Parish Community Pasta Dinner - “VALENTINE DINNER” on February 22, 2025. I wish to let you know that I am praying for every member of our community.
Merry Christmas! May the Lord grant you and all your loved ones peace, joy and goodwill this Christmas and throughout the New Year!
Yours, in Christ,
Rev. Valentine Onwunjiogu
